Browsing on eBay, Ralph had found a timeshare week the El Moro Tower facility at the El Cid Mega Resort in Mazatlan, Mexico and was able to pick it up for a pittance--- only $200 for a "floating, red week" in a very spacious unit that includes a huge bedroom, living room (with pull out sofa), half-kitchen, and two full bathrooms. For an annual maintenance/insurance fee of about $400, we now "own" a full seven days at the El Moro Towers each year until 2017. (Excepting Easter, Christmas, and New Years weeks.) Do the math--- that's under $60 a night for accommodations at a 4-star resort!

We had visited Mazatlan while on a Princess cruise in the mid-1900s and also during Spring Break in 2002 and, therefore, "had a handle" on the place when we arrived just before Thanksgiving. Following is a collection of "free flowing" photos that provide a pretty good idea of what Mazatlan has to offer and why we look forward to returning in the near future.
